Crosscall is a French brand of mobile created and hosted by the company Tech&Me SAS is headquartered in Châteauneuf-les-Martigues near Marseille. It is developing a series of mobile phone devices designed primarily for recreational activities outdoors and professionals in harsh environments.

3 models are available with Android (4.0.4) : Wild, Element and Odyssey, with prices ranging respectively 149 up to 315 Approximately € from dealers. Impervious to dust and water, equipped as most smartphones a GPS receiver associated with a cellular service location, they may well be used with applications shipping.

Element

Wild is the most affordable range, with a TFT screen of 3.5 "and a resolution of 320×480 (like the old iPhone 3GS). Indice de protection IP67 (*).

The Element model has the largest screen, a QHD tempered glass 4.5 "with a resolution of 540×960, particularly resistant to drops and shocks. Indice de protection IP67.

Finally, the Odyssey is the top of the range, with IPS screen (such as the iPad) 4.0 "and a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Screen and case hardened reinforced, this is the extreme Smartphone. Index severe protection IP68, perfectly tight prolonged immersion.

These devices French design therefore have nothing to envy to the global market leaders, such as Sony's Xperia ZR, Samsung Galaxy Xcover with or M.T.T.


(*) Reminder indices of protection IP concernedxx :

First digit : protection against solid bodies (dust, sand)

  • 5 = Protected against dust
  • 6 = Totally dustproof.

Second digit : protection against liquids

  • 7 = Protection against the effects of immersion (to 1 m). Ingress of water in harmful quantities will not be possible when the equipment is immersed in water under defined conditions.
  • 8 = Protection against the effects of prolonged immersion beyond 1 m. Sealed equipment, some hardware that can penetrate the water without producing damage.
