iSailor embarks on Android

La société Transas, editor of & rsquo; navigation application iSailor already popular on iOS, brought this great product on Google Play.

For the & rsquo; now the bundled version is limited to tablets from 7″, the version for smartphones will be available later.

Transas explain :

Thank you to note that for the moment it is technically impossible to transfer purchases iSailor previously made from your iOS devices to Android devices. However, we are working hard on it and hope to resolve this problem in the very near future.

Only tablet users will benefit from the first version of Android iSailor, a smartphone version should come out shortly after. iSailor for Android offers the main functions and options included in the iOS version and features the world Transas vector charts iTX-97, ranked among the top of the & rsquo; industry.

However, Transas takes precautions concerning equipment that could & rsquo; be compatible, je cite :

Because of the wide variety of Android devices, minor bugs may occur during the & rsquo; implementation of the first version of Android iSailor. To help us improve & rsquo; Application, thank you for sharing your comments with us about problems through the integrated report form or by contacting the iSailor support team at support@isailor.us

La version iSailor, numbered 2.20 launch, is given to compatible with the following devices, tested with Android version 4.4.x (API 19) and higher :

  • Google Nexus 7 (2013)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  • Sony Xperia Tablet Z2

L & rsquo; user interface on my Nexus 7 is entirely consistent with that obtained on my iPad. J & rsquo; wait only be able to recover my many purchases (Options and subscriptions) to test the & rsquo; Application. On this subject, we can see that these are still unavailable in the settings of this first version. The functions are very limited compared with those available on devices IOS.

L & rsquo; arrival of iSailor, concurrent direct de Navionics Boating, but much more oriented towards the high seas, is a very good thing to energize the amorphous market for navigation applications on Android devices. Hopefully the level of functionality quickly overtake the version for iOS.

  1. Hello Master

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet 3, android 4.3 … or more
I downloaded / installed Isailor 2.20, and it crashes in the microseconds or I run it with a message like :
"The app encountered a fatal error … "
it's normal doctor ? there is a trick ? I have understood that I am not in the hardware compatibility list, but I have a doubt since it looks good for "galaxy tab S"… I hope ..

    Short, what to think ?

    Philippe .

    1. I think :
1 – Switch to Android (version 4.4 mini, it's written in the article)
2 – Le Galaxy Tab 3 is not in the list of supported devices
3 – Contact the carrier iSailor.

  2. What great news that the arrival of this Application. Very limited for now (no import / export routes or waypoints, but it should come soon enough.
And purchasing cards is intelligently designed and transfer to other media the same account is no problem.
    A monitor…
