The apparatus
The Nexus 5 , manufactured by LG for Google , screen features a 4.95 "HD 1920×1080 pixels, a density of 445 ppi. This is the first smartphone equipped with the latest Android operating system 4.4 (KitKat). Qualcomm it provides most of its electronic components : the quad-core processor clocked at 2,26 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, transceiver WTR1605L LTE / HSPA / CDMA2K/TDSCDMA/EDGE that integrates the GPS receiver. Unlike the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 fully utilizes the capabilities of integrated components, y compris 4G LTE.
GPS
The transceiver chip Qualcomm WTR1605L is the same as that used by Apple in the iPhone 5S and 5C. The location service is a combined WLAN / Cellular / GPS. This processor supports, more American systems GPS (24 satellites) and Russian GLONASS (24 satellites), Chinese new constellation Beidou-2 with its 16 operational satellites now covering the Asia / Australia Western Pacific area /. This brings to 64 GPS satellite coverage for this area (¹) and gives the Nexus 5 quality positioning among the best on the market.
